I've been preching some version of this my whole life! Even as a young adult my mother once said to me, "I don't know where you got the idea that you shouldn't date someone you wouldn't want to marry. Just go out and have fun!" No, just no. of course here I am still single and sometimes I wonder if I was right after all so it's nice to hear someone else echo my thoughts on this. I'll keep my mind open but I refuse to date just for the sake of being in a relationship. That is NOT what I want.
